Westerwald

The Westerwald is situated in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate and is surrounded by the four rivers Sieg in the north, Dill in the east, Lahn in the south and Rhine in the west. With its clear air and its diversified landscape the Westerwald offers the best conditions for an unforgettable E-bike tour. You will find tranquil brooks, enchanted forests and spectacular scenic views. Medieval towns with their historical old towns and frame house fronts like Hachenburg and Montabaur await you.

The highest mountain of the Westerwald is the “Fuchskaute” (657m), situated in the Higher Westerwald. North of it you can visit the “Druidenstein”, a cone-shaped basaltic rock near Kirchen-Herkersdorf.

Nature still benefits from the fact that the Westerwald stayed almost untroubled by industrialisation. Cyclists find an Eldorado with an almost undamaged nature and a healthy climate. Everywhere nature protection areas and landscape conservation areas like the “Kroppacher Schweiz” or the “Gelbachtal” can be found. Our tours lead predominantly across forest tracks and rural roads or side roads with light traffic.
